History of Acupuncture
Some scholars trace the roots of modern acupuncture back to the Neolithic period. The systematic theory about acupuncture can be found in “The Yellow Emperor’s Classic of Internal Medicine" document, dating back to 200 BC. Based on the meridians and collaterals, and by applying needles at specific acupoints to treat various diseases are the characteristics of acupuncture. Connecting the meridians, regulating the Qi and blood, and rebalancing Yin and Yang are the basic concepts of acupuncture.

About sessions
During the first acupuncture session, there will be an assessment of your general health. As each treatment is unique to the individual, this will facilitate the most effective treatment for each. Acupuncture is the stimulation of Qi flow throughout the body through the insertion of thin stainless-steel needles into specific sites on the body. Only single use, disposable, sterile needles are used.
